What to do about hypertension and bradycardia
Recently, I have developed hypertension and bradycardia, and I don't know what to do. Could you please advise on how to manage hypertension and bradycardia?

For patients with hypertension complicated by bradycardia, the following measures are recommended:
1. Conduct a detailed assessment of the patient's symptoms, signs, and electrocardiographic findings to determine whether the bradycardardia is pathological. For patients without significant symptoms, with a heart rate no lower than 50 beats per minute and no evidence of conduction system disease, specific treatment may not be necessary, although regular follow-up is required.
2. Once diagnosed, patients should take antihypertensive medications such as metoprolol tartrate tablets or nifedipine sustained-release tablets under medical supervision, and continue long-term therapy to achieve stable blood pressure control.
3. During treatment, closely monitor changes in blood pressure and heart rate, and adjust the treatment plan accordingly to ensure cardiovascular stability and safety.
4. Encourage patients to engage in appropriate physical activity and maintain a healthy lifestyle, which can help improve cardiac function and reduce the risk of cardiovascular events.
5. Recommend a low-salt, low-fat diet, with increased consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables such as cucumbers, apples, and celery, while avoiding oily and spicy foods.
