What are the causes of acute enteritis?
Recently, I have developed acute enteritis. May I ask, what are the causes of acute enteritis?

The main causes of acute enteritis can be summarized as follows:
1. Infectious factors: Including infections by bacteria such as Salmonella, Escherichia coli, viruses such as norovirus, adenovirus, and parasites such as Giardia and amoeba.
2. Dietary factors: Consumption of irritating foods, such as raw or cold foods, excessively hot foods, or highly acidic foods, may irritate the intestines and lead to acute enteritis. Ingestion of toxic plants, chemical toxins, or medications may also trigger this condition.
3. Immune response: Autoimmune diseases such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis may present with symptoms of acute enteritis under certain conditions.
4. Chemical factors: Excessive alcohol consumption, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as aspirin and ibuprofen, as well as antibiotics, may irritate the intestinal mucosa and cause inflammation.
5. Other factors: Stress, emotional strain, radiation therapy, certain medical conditions such as diabetes and HIV/AIDS, and genetic factors may also increase the risk of developing acute enteritis.
