Okra is not recommended to be consumed with foods that have a cold or cooling nature. The following foods should be avoided when eating okra:

1. High-calcium foods: Okra contains oxalic acid, which can combine with calcium to form calcium oxalate, a substance that is difficult to dissolve. This may affect calcium absorption and increase the risk of kidney stones. Therefore, it is advised to avoid consuming large amounts of okra together with calcium-rich foods such as milk and tofu.

2. Iron-rich foods: The oxalic acid in okra may also bind with iron, affecting iron absorption. This combination may be particularly unfavorable for individuals with iron-deficiency anemia. Therefore, it is recommended to avoid consuming large quantities of okra at the same time as iron-rich foods.

3. Individuals with sensitive digestive systems should exercise caution: Okra contains a significant amount of dietary fiber, and excessive consumption may place additional strain on the gastrointestinal system, potentially causing discomfort in individuals with weak digestion or existing gastrointestinal disorders. Therefore, okra should be consumed in moderation.
