
How to regulate high blood sugar levels to lower blood glucose
During a physical examination, I found my blood sugar levels to be high, which has caused me great concern. Could you please advise on how to manage and lower elevated blood sugar levels?

When high blood sugar levels are detected, comprehensive lifestyle modifications are required to lower blood glucose, primarily involving the following aspects:
1. Dietary control: Follow a low-sugar, low-fat, high-fiber diet. Eat regular meals in appropriate portions, reduce intake of refined carbohydrates, and increase consumption of vegetables and whole grains.
2. Emotional and lifestyle adjustments: Maintain a positive and optimistic mindset and avoid negative emotions. Keep a regular daily routine, avoid staying up late, and quit smoking and alcohol consumption.
3. Medication therapy: Use antidiabetic medications under a doctor's guidance, such as glimepiride tablets and metformin. Pay attention to proper dosage and administration to prevent adverse reactions.
4. Increased physical activity: Engage in aerobic exercises such as jogging or swimming, 3–5 times per week for 30–60 minutes each session. Strength training and flexibility exercises can also help lower blood sugar. Exercise intensity should be moderate, causing light sweating and mild fatigue without discomfort.
5. Adjunctive regulation: Drinking tea, such as green tea or floral teas, may have a certain blood sugar-lowering effect.
6. Regular follow-up: Regular blood glucose monitoring helps adjust treatment plans in a timely manner.
