Excessive sweating and frequent waking during sleep in a 3-year-old child may be related to vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D plays a crucial role in the absorption and utilization of calcium. When deficient, it can lead to poor calcium absorption, causing unstable blood calcium levels, which in turn affects the excitability of the nervous system, resulting in excessive sweating and restless sleep. However, other factors such as inappropriate room temperature, overexcitement before bedtime, or certain illnesses may also contribute to these symptoms.

It is recommended to take the child to the hospital for relevant examinations, such as measuring serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels, to determine if there is a deficiency. If a deficiency is confirmed, vitamin D supplements, such as vitamin D drops, may be taken under a doctor's guidance. Additionally, increasing outdoor activity time and sun exposure can help promote vitamin D synthesis in the skin.

In daily meals, foods rich in vitamin D, such as deep-sea fish and egg yolks, can be appropriately included in the child's diet; however, the amount of vitamin D obtained from food alone is limited.
