"Lumbosacral strain," in fact refers to a common type of low back problem medically termed as acute lumbar sprain. This condition mainly presents as low back pain and movement impairment, with symptoms possibly worsening during deep breathing or coughing, significantly affecting the patient's daily life and work. This type of low back problem may be caused by multiple factors, including but not limited to:

1. Improper posture: Maintaining a single posture for prolonged periods, especially bending forward or twisting the waist, may keep the lumbar muscles and ligaments in a persistently tense state. Suddenly changing posture or engaging in vigorous activity may lead to muscle spasms or minor ligament tears, causing acute pain and movement difficulties.

2. Excessive exertion: Improper force application while lifting heavy objects or participating in vigorous exercise can also easily cause lumbar strain.

3. Muscle fatigue: Prolonged tension in the lumbar muscles without sufficient rest and relaxation can also lead to strains.

Other causes include muscle tension, sprains, ligament strains, intervertebral disc herniation, nerve compression, or inflammation. If experiencing persistent or severe back pain, to ensure your health, it is recommended to seek immediate medical examination at a hospital.
