In the recovery process of tibial fractures in children, the duration required for pain relief is influenced by multiple factors, including individual differences, the specific type of fracture, and the treatment methods used.

In general, after immobilization of the fracture with a cast or brace, appropriate use of pain medications, and ensuring sufficient rest, most children experience a significant reduction in pain within 24 to 72 hours following the fracture. This is primarily because the acute inflammatory response occurring initially at the fracture site gradually subsides over time, and the body's natural healing process begins.

However, complete disappearance of pain often takes a much longer time.

Generally, once the fracture site becomes stable and healing begins, most children will notice significant improvement within about one to two weeks, and at this point they can start gradually increasing their level of activity.

Nevertheless, to fully recover to pre-fracture activity levels, such as being able to run, jump, and perform other high-intensity activities without pain, may require several months.

Throughout the entire recovery period, regular follow-up examinations and rehabilitation therapy are necessary to ensure proper healing of the fracture, effectively prevent complications, and promote optimal functional recovery.
