How to treat heel pain in women
I am a woman who has been experiencing persistent heel pain recently, especially when getting up and stepping down in the morning. The pain is particularly severe at those times. Walking for prolonged periods also worsens the pain. Is there any way to relieve this pain?

Common causes of heel pain in women include Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, and plantar aponeurosis inflammation. The following measures can generally be taken:
1. Rest and activity modification: Reduce the load on the heel, avoid prolonged standing or walking, wear comfortable shoes, and use crutches if necessary to relieve pressure on the foot.
2. Soaking feet in warm water: When experiencing pain, soaking feet in warm water and local massage may help improve blood circulation and alleviate pain.
3. Physical therapy: Treatments such as heat application, cold compresses, ultrasound therapy, and electrical stimulation can help reduce inflammation and relieve pain.
4. Medication: Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen capsules, can be used to reduce pain and inflammation.
5. Orthotics or shoe inserts: Custom orthotics or shoe inserts can provide additional support and reduce pressure on the heel.
6. Stretching and strengthening exercises: Exercises such as stretching the plantar fascia, calf muscles, and toe gripping movements can strengthen foot muscles and improve symptoms.
If symptoms persist or worsen, it is recommended to seek medical treatment immediately.
