Allergic rhinitis is not a contagious disease and therefore is not infectious. Allergic rhinitis, also known as allergic rhinitis, is a non-infectious inflammatory disease of the nasal mucosa caused by an individual's reaction to specific allergens.

These allergens mainly include inhaled allergens, such as pollen, fungi, dust mites, animal dander, and food allergens. When individuals with allergic constitutions are exposed to these allergens, their immune systems react abnormally, releasing inflammatory mediators such as histamine. This leads to nasal mucosal congestion, edema, and increased secretions, which in turn cause typical symptoms of allergic rhinitis, including sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and nasal itching.

In response to this condition, patients should avoid contact with allergens, undergo medical treatment, and improve their lifestyle habits, such as maintaining fresh indoor air and regularly cleaning the home environment.
