Why should beef, lamb, and seafood be avoided after breast augmentation surgery?
I recently had breast augmentation surgery, and my doctor told me to avoid eating beef, mutton, and seafood during the recovery period. She wants to know why these foods are restricted.

Beef, mutton, and seafood may contain certain irritants or allergens that could increase the risk of wound infection after consumption, leading to inflammatory reactions such as redness, swelling, and pain at the wound site, and may even affect surgical outcomes and overall health.
In addition, some components in these foods, such as nitrites and histamine, may cause blood vessel dilation, increasing the risk of bleeding and swelling, thereby prolonging the recovery period. Beef and mutton are high-fat meats that may affect fat metabolism in the body. Excessive intake may exacerbate inflammatory responses and be detrimental to maintaining breast shape.
