Under normal circumstances, women are most likely to become pregnant during their ovulation period.

If a woman has regular menstrual cycles, ovulation typically occurs about 14 days before the next menstrual period. During this time, hormonal changes occur in the woman's body. The released egg can survive for 1-2 days, while sperm entering the female reproductive tract can survive for 2-3 days. Therefore, the chances of the egg and sperm combining to form a fertilized egg are higher during this period. Additionally, during ovulation, the female body produces more cervical mucus, which protects the sperm from being expelled and facilitates their passage. Thus, having intercourse 1-2 days before or after ovulation increases the likelihood of conception. To accurately predict ovulation, ovulation test strips can be used, or a woman can visit a hospital after her period ends for ultrasound monitoring to confirm ovulation timing.

Couples are advised to avoid smoking and alcohol consumption during the preconception period, regulate their emotions, avoid excessive stress, anxiety, and staying up late, maintain a regular lifestyle, and continue moderate exercise. If pregnancy cannot be achieved over a long period or fertility difficulties arise, it is recommended to consult a doctor promptly for professional advice and assistance.
