Cervical nabothian cysts generally refer to cervical nabothian cysts, which are common benign lesions on the cervix. Patients without symptoms can usually be observed first, and if symptoms appear, treatment options include physical therapy, medication, and surgical treatment.

Nabothian cysts of the cervix form when the openings of cervical glands become blocked, preventing the drainage of glandular secretions, resulting in retention cysts. For patients with asymptomatic cervical nabothian cysts, special treatment is usually unnecessary; regular observation, attention to personal hygiene, and avoiding excessive vaginal douching are recommended. Physical therapies include electrocauterization, laser treatment, and cryotherapy, which are suitable for patients with larger cysts or symptoms. These methods destroy the cyst wall and promote absorption of the cyst fluid to achieve therapeutic effects.

In some cases, such as when infection is present or when cervical nabothian cysts are caused by chronic cervicitis, antibiotics may be needed to control the infection and prepare for further treatment. For recurrent, large-volume cysts or suspected malignant transformation, surgical removal may be required. Common surgical procedures include cystostomy for cervical gland cysts and hysteroscopic electroresection.
