Postpartum recovery can be achieved through adequate rest, dietary adjustments, and appropriate exercise.

Adequate rest is fundamental. The mother should arrange her schedule reasonably and ensure sufficient sleep. She should avoid staying up late and overexertion. Meanwhile, staying warm to avoid colds is important. In addition, attention should be paid to vaginal hygiene, keeping the area clean and dry to prevent infection.

As the body is relatively weak postpartum, additional nutrition is required. It is recommended to consume more protein-rich foods such as eggs, milk, and lean meat, as well as fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins, such as tomatoes and apples. The diet should primarily consist of liquid or semi-liquid foods like noodle soup and millet porridge, which are easy to digest while effectively providing nutrition.

Appropriate exercise helps in regaining figure and strengthening the body, but should be done gradually, starting with gentle postpartum yoga or walking. Vigorous exercise should be avoided. Appropriate walking and yoga can help promote uterine contraction and accelerate lochia discharge. Furthermore, pelvic floor muscle exercises are important for preventing problems such as urinary incontinence.
