Symptoms of bacteremia generally include abnormal body temperature, abnormal respiration, dizziness, and vomiting.

1. Abnormal body temperature: Patients with bacteremia usually experience either low-grade or high fever, accompanied by chills. This may be caused by bacterial proliferation in the bloodstream and the release of toxins. Close temperature monitoring is recommended for assessment.

2. Abnormal respiration: As the condition worsens, patients may develop symptoms such as increased heart and respiratory rates, rapid breathing, and decreased blood pressure, and may even progress to shock.

3. Dizziness and vomiting: Bacteremia can cause varying degrees of headache and dizziness. A small number of patients may also experience mental disturbances and impaired consciousness. In more severe cases, there may be little or no urine output.

Bacteremia is a serious infectious disease. If the above symptoms occur, immediate medical attention and relevant diagnostic tests are necessary. After diagnosis, treatment should involve selecting appropriate antimicrobial agents based on the type of infecting bacteria and antibiotic susceptibility testing. Active treatment of the primary infection site and complications is also essential, along with enhanced nutritional support and symptomatic management.
