Is it okay to get eyebrow tattoos during menstruation?
I am 22 years old and want to get eyebrow tattooing done, but I have my period recently. I would like to know if it's safe to get eyebrow tattooing during menstruation.

Under normal circumstances, eyebrow tattooing is not recommended during menstruation. During the menstrual period, the level of blood coagulation factors in women decreases, leading to reduced blood clotting ability. Eyebrow tattooing may cause bleeding of the eyebrow skin, which could be difficult to stop. During menstruation, a woman's overall immunity is relatively weakened, resulting in reduced resistance to bacteria and viruses. As an invasive procedure, eyebrow tattooing may increase the risk of infection. Additionally, a woman's pain receptors may be more sensitive during this period, making the discomfort during eyebrow tattooing more pronounced.
During eyebrow tattooing, the superficial skin layer may be damaged. If the instruments are not adequately sterilized or post-operative care is improperly managed, bacterial infections such as folliculitis or cellulitis may occur. The risk of infection is even higher during menstruation due to decreased immunity. Although eyebrow tattooing is not absolutely contraindicated during menstruation, considering the body's unique condition, it is advisable to perform such cosmetic procedures when the body is in good condition to minimize potential discomfort and risks. Additionally, eyebrow tattooing should be performed at a reputable medical facility to reduce the risk of infectious disease transmission.
