How to treat vaginitis
Recently, I've been feeling uncomfortable in my private area and, after checking online, I suspect it might be vaginitis. This condition is really troublesome, and I want to get it treated as soon as possible. I'd like to know how exactly vaginitis should be treated.

Vaginitis can be managed through general treatment, physical therapy, and medication.
Maintain cleanliness and dryness of the external genitalia and avoid scratching. Sexual activity is prohibited during treatment. Underwear and towels used for washing should be boiled for 5-10 minutes to eliminate pathogens. Sexual partners should also receive treatment simultaneously if they exhibit symptoms to avoid cross-infection. Ozone therapy, infrared irradiation, microwave therapy, and other treatments may also be used as adjunctive therapies under a physician's guidance.
Based on the type of vaginitis, appropriate medications should be selected. Bacterial vaginosis is commonly treated with antibiotics such as metronidazole and clindamycin, which can be administered orally or applied locally. Fungal vaginitis, also known as vulvovaginal candidiasis, is primarily treated with antifungal agents such as fluconazole and clotrimazole, available as oral medications or vaginal suppositories.
Non-specific vaginitis can be treated with topical or oral medications such as metronidazole and clindamycin. During treatment, it is important to follow the physician's instructions and complete the full course of therapy. Medication should not be discontinued prematurely even if symptoms improve, to prevent recurrence.
