Is it true that Wind Oil Essence can remove pimples?
I am 19 years old, female, and experience recurrent acne on my face. I heard that camphor oil can help treat acne, but after using it, my skin became redder. Is it actually effective?

Using Feng You Jing (Wintergreen Oil) to treat acne is not a scientifically proven effective method. Its ingredients contain irritants such as menthol and camphor, which may temporarily relieve redness and swelling of acne. However, long-term or improper use can damage the skin barrier, leading to dryness, peeling, and even worsening inflammation. Acne has complex causes, including excessive sebum production and abnormal hair follicle keratinization, which require targeted treatment. Feng You Jing has not been dermatologically tested and cannot directly eliminate acne; instead, it may provoke allergic reactions or increase the risk of infection due to irritation.
If acne occurs, it is recommended to use topical ointments containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide, or to follow medical advice to apply retinoic acid medications. Avoid squeezing pimples, maintain skin cleanliness, and use gentle moisturizing products. In severe cases, visit a dermatologist for an oral medication or laser treatment plan tailored to your acne type. Maintain a light diet daily, reduce intake of high-sugar and high-fat foods, and avoid using oily cosmetics. If acne continues to worsen or is accompanied by pain, promptly seek help from a dermatologist to obtain professional diagnosis and treatment.
