Can I use essential balm (feng you jing) to rub on my baby's mosquito or insect bites?
When we went out to play at noon today, the baby was bitten by insects. I would like to know if it's safe to apply essential balm (feng you jing) on a baby's insect bites?

After a baby has been bitten by insects, a small amount of camphor oil can generally be applied, but it is recommended to use camphor oil only after the baby is1 month old or older. Camphor oil contains alcohol, so avoid excessive application on the baby to prevent skin damage. If no redness or swelling appears after a baby has been bitten by insects, special treatment is usually unnecessary. If redness, swelling, or itching occurs, topical applications such as hydrocortisone butyrate cream, calamine lotion, or zinc oxide cream may be used.
