When a baby gets red bumps from mosquito bites, you can apply soap water or other alkaline liquids locally on the child's wound to help reduce swelling. Alcohol or iodophor can also be used for擦拭 (cleaning), and these substances will not damage the baby's skin. Applying these several times will gradually make the red bumps disappear. For swelling, topical application of a corticosteroid cream such as desonide lotion might be needed, or oral antihistamines such as cetirizine hydrochloride drops or desloratadine dry suspension may be required.
