Sperm itself is edible, but this practice is not recommended. From a biological perspective, sperm mainly consists of proteins and other minor nutritional components, and is theoretically harmless to the human body. However, practical consumption must consider hygiene and health risks. The mouth, genital areas, and other body parts may carry various bacteria and viruses, such as sexually transmitted disease (STD) pathogens, including HIV, gonorrhea, syphilis, and others. These pathogens can enter the body through contact and potentially cause infection. Additionally, consuming sperm may cause psychological discomfort or cultural aversion.

Before deciding to consume sperm, one should fully understand the associated risks and ensure both partners are in good health without sexually transmitted diseases or other infections. If there are any concerns or health issues, consumption should be avoided. Maintaining good personal hygiene practices and undergoing regular sexual health examinations can help ensure both your health and your partner's. If any discomfort or concerns arise, promptly consult a doctor or healthcare professional for scientific guidance and advice. Although sperm is technically edible, from the perspective of health and safety, it is not advisable to consume it.
