My husband has only recently started learning arc welding. Recently, his eyes may have been injured by the welding arc, and he’s been complaining of severe eye pain. I’m also worried about potential long-term complications. Could you please advise on how to manage arc eye (welder’s flash)?

Hello, if your eyes are injured by welding arc exposure, promptly apply a cold, wet towel to your eyes and rest with your eyes closed. If symptoms are mild, you may also instill cooled breast milk or milk into the affected eye(s). However, if symptoms are severe, seek immediate medical evaluation and treatment at a hospital.
