Can global aphasia be cured?
Disease description:
Today, while I was out, I saw a friend with global aphasia. Can global aphasia be cured?
Global aphasia is typically incurable. It may result from congenital genetic factors or acquired (postnatal) causes. If it is congenital, treatment options are extremely limited; only speech and language therapy can help alleviate symptoms. If it is acquired, identifying the underlying cause is essential, and targeted treatment should be administered under a physician’s guidance.
