What Are the Symptoms of Tibial Osteomyelitis?
Disease description:
Lately, I’ve been experiencing pain in my lower leg while walking. I suspect I may have tibial osteomyelitis. What are the typical symptoms of tibial osteomyelitis?
Tibial osteomyelitis typically presents with lower limb pain and localized skin erythema and swelling. During acute exacerbation, patients commonly experience fatigue, anorexia, and fever. Prolonged disease course often leads to sequestration (small fragments of necrotic bone), skin hyperpigmentation, and cutaneous ulceration with suppuration and bleeding.
