Lumbar strain is typically caused by prolonged maintenance of a single posture—such as bending while working, sitting or standing for extended periods, or engaging in physically demanding labor—leading to chronic fatigue in the lumbar region and subsequent chronic muscular injury. This results in symptoms including low back pain and restricted mobility. Additionally, exposure of the lumbar region to cold may also trigger or exacerbate these symptoms. It is recommended to sleep on a firm mattress and consider treatments such as acupuncture and massage.
