What Causes Pseudomyopia?
Disease description:
My son has blurry vision. The doctor diagnosed it as pseudomyopia. What causes pseudomyopia?
Pseudomyopia is typically caused by prolonged poor visual habits—such as extended near work or prolonged staring at electronic screens—or by environmental factors. It is also strongly associated with impaired accommodative function of the eye. Patients commonly experience blurred distance vision, which generally resolves following rest or administration of cycloplegic agents.
