Hello, if a woman experiences left-sided chest distension and pain along with palpable axillary lymph node enlargement, she should seek prompt medical evaluation—especially if currently breastfeeding—to rule out mastitis. If acute mastitis is diagnosed, antibiotic therapy is required. During treatment, breast milk should be expressed regularly using a breast pump, and breastfeeding should be temporarily suspended.
