Disease description:

My baby is one and a half years old. Recently, I’ve noticed that he seems lethargy or generally unwell. His temperature has consistently measured 37°C. Is it normal for a 1.5-year-old baby to have a consistently recorded temperature of 37°C?

A child’s body temperature of 37°C is entirely normal, as body temperature has a defined normal range—specifically, 36.3°C to 37.2°C. Temperatures within this range are considered normal; values above or below this range are abnormal. Moreover, poor mental status in a child is not necessarily caused by fever; abdominal pain, for example, can also lead to lethargy or irritability.
