Introduction
Gout is acute gouty arthritis, and the treatment goal is to promptly initiate both pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies to rapidly terminate a gout attack. 1. Non-pharmacological treatment: Elevate the affected limb, apply ice packs to cool the painful area, avoid strenuous activity and trauma to the affected joint, but encourage moderate movement of the painful joint. 2. When pain is significant, administer drug therapy.

In daily life, most patients suffer from high uric acid levels, which during acute attacks cause persistent joint pain, severely affecting their normal life and work. So, how can gout be quickly relieved?

How to Quickly Relieve Gout

Gout refers to acute gouty arthritis. The treatment goal is to immediately apply both pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods to stop a gout attack as quickly as possible.

1. Non-drug treatments: Elevate the affected limb, apply ice packs to cool the painful area, avoid strenuous activity or trauma to the affected joint, but encourage moderate movement of the painful joint.

2. Drug treatments: When pain is significant, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as indomethacin or meloxicam may be used. Additionally, topical applications like those containing tiaprofenic acid can help relieve pain to some extent. Colchicine is also effective for pain relief. However, colchicine has a high fatality rate, so it must never be administered intravenously. Alternatively, corticosteroids can be used to alleviate pain.

To increase uric acid excretion, drink plenty of water daily. Weight control requires not only managing total dietary calorie intake but also combining it with appropriate physical exercise. Reduce alcohol consumption and maintain a balanced diet—animal organs, lean meat, and most seafood are high in purines and should be consumed in moderation. In daily life, choose a healthy diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

Gout poses serious risks to human health and must be taken seriously. We hope this response helps you. Wishing you good health and happiness!
