1. Vinegar

Pickled eggs are alkaline foods. When combined with calcium in vinegar, they form an insoluble precipitate that is difficult to digest and may even cause poisoning in severe cases.

2. Eel

Although pickled eggs are rich in protein and eel is both nutritious and delicious, consuming them together is not advisable. Because pickled eggs are alkaline, eating them with eel can lead to diarrhea and potentially food poisoning.

3. Brown Sugar

Pickled eggs (also known as century eggs) are alkaline, while brown sugar is acidic. When consumed together, the acid and alkali neutralize each other, disrupting the body's acid-base balance. This combination may trigger stomach disorders and mild food poisoning.

4. Soft-shelled Turtle

Pickled eggs should not be eaten with soft-shelled turtle.
