Introduction
When mental stress is excessive and sleep quality is poor, it may trigger a throbbing headache. However, if headaches occur, underlying medical conditions should also be considered, such as migraines, autonomic nervous system dysfunction, hypertension, post-herpetic neuralgia, or intracranial tumors. The specific cause can be determined through hospital examinations, followed by appropriate treatment.

Pulsating headaches inside the head may result from physiological factors or be related to pathological conditions, such as autonomic nervous system dysfunction or migraines. The specific causes are analyzed as follows:

I. Physiological Factors

When patients experience excessive psychological stress or poor sleep quality, the central nervous system may become overburdened, leading to pulsating headaches. Symptoms can improve by adjusting one's mental state and ensuring adequate sleep.

II. Pathological Factors

1. Autonomic Nervous System Dysfunction

Long-term exposure to high pressure and chronic anxiety can lead to autonomic nervous system dysfunction, causing abnormal excitation of the sympathetic nerves and an imbalance between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. It is recommended that individuals rest appropriately in daily life and ensure sufficient sleep.

2. Migraine

Migraine is a chronic neurovascular disorder. Frequent smoking, alcohol consumption, or excessive mental anxiety may trigger migraine attacks, which typically present as severe pain on one or both sides of the head, possibly accompanied by symptoms such as nausea and vomiting. If symptoms are particularly severe, patients are advised to take medications such as ibuprofen sustained-release capsules or diclofenac sodium sustained-release tablets under medical guidance.

Besides the above-mentioned factors, trigeminal neuralgia or other conditions cannot be ruled out. If headache pain significantly affects daily life, individuals should seek hospital evaluation and treatment.
