Feeling pulsations or trembling in the abdomen?
Abdominal sensations of pulsation or trembling may be caused by either physiological or pathological factors, such as intestinal spasms or gastric ulcers. The specific analysis is as follows:
I. Physiological Factors
This may result from normal vascular pulsations or tissue spasms. This phenomenon is more commonly observed in individuals with a slender build, as their abdominal wall lies closer to the aorta. As a result, they may frequently feel noticeable pulsations in the abdomen, or experience spasms following stimulation of abdominal tissues, leading to localized sensations of pulsation and trembling.
II. Pathological Factors
1. Intestinal Spasms
Intestinal vasospasm may occur due to food allergies, excessive gas production in the intestines, indigestion, or similar causes, resulting in abdominal pulsating or trembling sensations. This condition may also be accompanied by symptoms such as abdominal pain and rectal bleeding.
2. Gastric Ulcer
Frequent smoking, alcohol consumption, genetic predisposition, or other factors may induce gastric ulcers, which can also lead to abnormal abdominal sensations. These are likely due to tissue damage and bleeding during disease flare-ups. Additional symptoms may include diarrhea and nausea.
In addition to the common causes mentioned above, these symptoms cannot rule out associations with conditions such as aneurysms.
