Introduction
Medial knee pain may be caused by muscle strain, trauma, synovitis, or other reasons. Prolonged overuse around the knee can lead to sustained traction on surrounding muscles. When the inner side of the knee suffers external impact, soft tissue damage or ligament rupture may easily occur. Long-term external irritation of the synovium can trigger inflammatory changes, leading to symptoms such as redness, swelling, and pain on the medial side of the knee joint.

Knee medial pain may be caused by muscle strain, trauma, synovitis, or other reasons. It can be relieved through physical therapy, medication, surgical treatment, etc. Specific analyses are as follows:

1. Muscle Strain

If the area around the knee has been overused for a prolonged period, the surrounding muscles may experience continuous tension, leading to fatigue or injury, resulting in redness, swelling, or pain. Applying heat compresses and massage can promote blood circulation, or physical therapies such as magnetotherapy and ultrasound may be used to improve the condition.

2. Trauma

If the inner side of the knee suffers external impact, it is prone to soft tissue damage or ligament rupture. Even slight movement may cause pain, and sometimes joint mobility may be limited. Under medical guidance, antibiotics or analgesic medications such as cefixime dispersible tablets, naproxen tablets, or celecoxib capsules may be prescribed to alleviate symptoms.

3. Synovitis

When the synovium is exposed to external irritation over a long period, inflammatory changes may occur, producing excessive joint fluid, which leads to redness, swelling, and pain on the medial side of the knee joint. Joint lavage may help relieve the condition, or improvement can be achieved via arthroscopic radiofrequency ablation.

In addition to the common causes mentioned above, conditions such as osteophyte formation cannot be ruled out. Timely diagnosis using X-ray or MRI examinations is necessary.
