Introduction
Fever usually refers to an elevated body temperature, and stomach pain refers to abdominal pain. A child's fever and abdominal pain may be caused by gastroenteric flu, acute gastroenteritis, cholecystitis, mesenteric lymphadenitis, appendicitis, or other conditions. Parents are advised to take the child to see a doctor promptly, identify the underlying cause, and follow the doctor's guidance for symptomatic treatment. During recovery, parents should ensure the child gets adequate rest and maintain proper warmth to keep the child's body protected from cold.

Fever usually refers to elevated body temperature, and stomach pain refers to abdominal pain. In general, fever and abdominal pain in children may be caused by conditions such as gastroenteric flu, acute gastroenteritis, cholecystitis, mesenteric lymphadenitis, or appendicitis. Parents are advised to take their child to see a doctor promptly to determine the underlying cause and receive appropriate treatment under medical guidance. Specific analyses are as follows:

1. Gastroenteric flu: This is mainly caused by viral infection leading to gastrointestinal dysfunction. When a child's immunity decreases and they become infected with a virus, this condition may develop, presenting symptoms such as fever, reduced appetite, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Parents can administer medications such as oseltamivir phosphate capsules, virazole tablets (ribavirin), and moroxydine hydrochloride tablets according to medical advice.

2. Acute gastroenteritis: If a child consumes contaminated food, they may become infected with pathogens, resulting in symptoms of acute gastroenteritis such as abdominal pain, fever, and diarrhea. Parents should follow medical advice to treat the child with medications such as *Saccharomyces boulardii* powder, Fengliao Changweikang tablets, and smectite powder.

3. Cholecystitis: This may be related to bile duct obstruction or secondary infection. When a child has cholecystitis, inflammatory stimulation can cause fever, along with possible symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. Parents should follow medical advice for medication; commonly used drugs include anti-inflammatory and bile-promoting tablets, clindamycin hydrochloride tablets, and ursodeoxycholic acid tablets.

4. Mesenteric lymphadenitis: This is primarily caused by infections from viruses, bacteria, or parasites, and is commonly seen in children. Common symptoms include fever, abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. Parents can follow a doctor’s recommendations to administer medications such as amoxicillin-clavulanate potassium granules, ibuprofen tablets, and cefixime dispersible tablets.

5. Appendicitis: This is mainly associated with obstruction of the appendix lumen and bacterial invasion. After onset, children typically experience significant pain in the lower right abdomen, accompanied by fever, nausea, fatigue, and other symptoms. Parents can administer appropriate medications as directed by a physician, such as acetaminophen tablets, metronidazole tablets, or ornidazole capsules.

During recovery, parents should ensure the child gets adequate rest and maintain proper warmth to protect against cold. Additionally, dietary adjustments are important—encourage the child to drink plenty of water and consume fresh vegetables and fruits, which can help enhance immune function.
