Can you drink frozen soy milk?
Generally, whether frozen soy milk is safe to drink depends on its condition after freezing. If the soy milk remains in good condition without spoilage after freezing, it can be consumed. However, if the frozen soy milk develops a sour smell or sediment, it is not recommended for consumption.
If soy milk is properly sealed and quickly frozen in the refrigerator for a short period, its nutrients are well preserved, with minimal nutrient loss and no contamination by pathogenic microorganisms, making it safe to drink.
If the soy milk has been improperly stored, kept for a long time, or already contaminated before freezing, prolonged storage may lead to microbial contamination. Even though the freezer temperature is low, the soy milk might have already spoiled, resulting in nutrient loss and possibly even the formation of toxic substances such as aflatoxin. In such cases, the soy milk should not be consumed.
In daily life, it is advisable to maintain a light and easily digestible diet, avoid greasy, spicy, and other irritating foods, ensure adequate sleep and rest, and minimize the consumption of leftover or overnight foods.
