Introduction
Hepatic hemangioma refers to a benign proliferation of blood vessels within the liver. Most patients are asymptomatic, and the condition is often incidentally detected during routine health examinations via abdominal ultrasound, which reveals a localized hepatic mass. Definitive diagnosis and differentiation—particularly from hepatocellular carcinoma—are achieved through contrast-enhanced CT imaging of the liver. Accurate differential diagnosis is critical to distinguish hepatic hemangioma from malignant liver tumors.
