Facial frostbite can be treated with frostbite ointment, applied strictly as directed by a physician. For mild frostbite, keeping the affected area warm is essential; additionally, topical medications that promote local blood circulation may be used to effectively alleviate symptoms. In cases of severe frostbite complicated by infection, antimicrobial ointments are required. If ulceration develops at the site, skin grafting may be necessary for recovery.
