Gout is a disease caused by excessively high uric acid levels in the body. When uric acid crystallizes, it deposits in the joints, triggering joint pain and gout attacks. It is recommended that you visit the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology at a hospital for evaluation. Comprehensive tests—including serum uric acid measurement and joint imaging—should be performed to assess your condition. A physician will then guide appropriate treatment, including analgesics and uric acid–lowering medications. Colchicine can help reduce inflammatory responses but must be taken strictly as prescribed. Regular follow-up examinations are essential.
