How many stages are there in lymphoma staging?
Disease description:
I’ve been diagnosed with lymphoma, and I’m a bit worried. How many stages does lymphoma have?
Lymphoma staging is generally divided into four stages:
Stage I involves a single lymph node region or a single extranodal organ/site.
Stage II involves two or more lymph node regions on the same side of the diaphragm.
Stage III involves lymph node regions on both sides of the diaphragm.
Stage IV indicates widespread disease, with involvement of one or more extranodal sites beyond the lymphatic system.
Patients are advised to initiate treatment promptly. Delayed treatment may lead to disease progression or metastasis.
