Foamy stools in infants may be associated with indigestion or intestinal infection. An infant’s gastrointestinal function is not yet fully developed; consuming too much milk at once can lead to indigestion, resulting in foamy diarrhea. Additionally, unhygienic feeding practices—such as exposure to bacterial or viral pathogens—can trigger intestinal inflammation, also causing foamy diarrhea, often accompanied by symptoms like spitting up, abdominal pain, and others.
