After a mosquito bite, topical application of vitamin E capsules, asiaticoside cream, or mucopolysaccharide polysulfate cream may help reduce scarring. Following a mosquito bite, local skin may become infected with bacteria or viruses, leading to itching; scratching the itchy area can result in scarring. Applying the aforementioned medications may help diminish such scars. If scar reduction is insufficient, laser surgery may be considered for scar removal.
