Postoperative testicular pain following hernia surgery may be caused by epididymitis or postoperative infection. Patients experiencing severe pain may benefit from analgesics or local heat therapy. Antibiotic therapy is indicated for infectious causes. If antibiotic treatment proves ineffective, surgical incision and decompression of the epididymis may be performed to alleviate symptoms. In cases of persistent, long-term pain, referral to a qualified specialized hospital is warranted for anti-infective management of the inflammation.
