Nosebleeds that won't stop are not necessarily a sign of leukemia. If related to leukemia, frequent nosebleeds would typically occur along with other symptoms such as bleeding gums, fatigue, and pale complexion. Occasional nosebleeds are usually not caused by leukemia and may instead be associated with trauma or atrophic rhinitis. 1. Trauma: Forceful nose-blowing, violent sneezing, or frequent nose-picking can damage the blood vessels in the nasal mucosa, leading to nosebleeds. 2. Atrophic rhinitis: Dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system or endocrine disorders may lead to atrophic rhinitis, which in turn can cause persistent nosebleeds, dryness in the nose, nasal congestion, and reduced sense of smell.
