Can menstruation be normal with blocked fallopian tubes?

Disease description:

I've been feeling abdominal discomfort for the past couple of days, with occasional mild pain. After a hospital examination, it's possible that my fallopian tubes are partially blocked or not fully通畅. However, my menstrual period is due tomorrow, and I'm worried that the fallopian tube issues might affect my menstruation. Can periods still be normal with blocked fallopian tubes?

Menstruation will be normal with blocked fallopian tubes. In healthy women, ovulation and menstrual regulation are controlled by the ovaries. The fallopian tubes merely serve as passageways for transporting eggs and have no direct relationship with the ovaries. Fertilization occurs within these tubes when sperm meets egg. Therefore, regardless of whether the fallopian tubes are blocked, have undergone surgery, or even if both tubes have been removed, menstruation remains normal as long as the ovaries are unaffected during surgery. Provided that ovulation functions normally, the fallopian tubes simply act as a conduit where sperm and egg unite to achieve fertilization. They do not affect a woman's ovulation or her menstrual cycle.
