How long can a person with lymphoma live?
Disease description:
My aunt has been diagnosed with lymphoma. Given her advanced age, I am deeply concerned about her health and would like to ask: How long can a person live after being diagnosed with lymphoma?
Hello,
The life expectancy of lymphoma patients depends on various factors, including the patient’s physical condition, disease stage, and treatment response. Lymphoma is pathologically classified into Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) and non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). Currently, clinical outcomes for lymphoma are generally favorable. With active and appropriate treatment, many patients with Hodgkin lymphoma—and some with non-Hodgkin lymphoma—achieve 5-year or longer survival, attaining clinical cure.
We hope this information is helpful. Wishing you good health!
