Hello, the pH value of vaginal discharge refers to the acidity or alkalinity of the secretions from the female vagina. This test helps assess the health status of the vaginal environment in a timely manner. The normal pH range for vaginal discharge is 3.8–4.5, indicating a mildly acidic environment.
If the test reveals an elevated vaginal pH, it may suggest bacterial vaginosis. Prior to the examination, sexual intercourse should be avoided for at least three days, and fasting is required beforehand. The test should be scheduled after menstruation has completely ended.
