People with high blood sugar can eat pomelo, but in moderation. Pomelo is considered a low-sugar fruit, with a sugar content ranging from 5% to 9.1%, and a low glycemic index (approximately 25). Eating it in moderation has little impact on blood sugar levels. Pomelo not only contains abundant vitamins such as vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin B, and beta-carotene, but also is rich in minerals like calcium and potassium, as well as nutrients like folic acid, which are beneficial to health. Although pomelo has a relatively low sugar content, excessive consumption may still lead to sugar accumulation and thereby affect blood sugar levels. Therefore, it is recommended that individuals with high blood sugar eat pomelo in moderation between meals when their blood sugar is relatively stable, with a daily intake limited to less than half a catty (approximately 250 grams) to maintain stable blood sugar levels. At the same time, attention should also be paid to adjusting other dietary habits and lifestyle factors to comprehensively manage blood sugar levels.
