Can gastritis cause diarrhea?

Recently, I’ve been experiencing stomach pain and persistent diarrhea—twice this morning. My doctor diagnosed me with gastritis. Could gastritis cause diarrhea?

Gastritis typically does not cause diarrhea. The most common causes of diarrhea in such cases are gastroenteritis or improper diet. Additionally, exposure to cold can also easily trigger diarrhea. If gastric pain is present, a gastroscopy is recommended for further diagnosis.
