What are the effects of Fuyanjie?
Fuyanjie is a clinically common external cleansing solution used for the vulva. Its primary ingredients include Radix Sophorae Flavescentis (Ku Shen), Stemona japonica (Bai Bu), and Fruit of Cnidium monnieri (She Chuang Zi). It may be used to cleanse the vulva when women experience symptoms such as vulvar itching, abnormal odor, or increased vaginal discharge.
What are the effects of Fuyanjie?
Fuyanjie rapidly inhibits and kills pathogenic bacteria—including Staphylococcus aureus, fungi, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa—and possesses strong cleansing, moisturizing, and antimicrobial properties. The female genital tract hosts both harmful and beneficial microorganisms, which coexist in dynamic equilibrium, collectively maintaining the local ecological balance. However, when a woman’s immune resistance declines or prolonged antibiotic use disrupts the normal microbial flora, gynecological inflammation may develop. Therefore, for minor gynecological concerns—such as abnormal odor or itching—Fuyanjie may be applied externally to cleanse the area, eliminate odor, and reduce excessive secretions.

Many people assume that ordinary body washes or soaps are sufficient for cleansing the genital area. In fact, most of these products are alkaline and can neutralize the natural bodily fluids in the genital region, disrupting its naturally weakly acidic environment. This compromises the self-cleansing capacity of the genital tract and may even impair its protective barrier, allowing opportunistic pathogens to invade and cause discomfort or infectious diseases.

Fuyanjie is intended for external use only and should not be used during sexual activity for prevention of sexually transmitted infections. Additionally, slight sedimentation during storage is normal and does not affect product safety or efficacy. We hope this information is helpful. Wishing you good health and happiness!
