What causes leg soreness, dizziness, and weakness?
Generally, leg soreness and weakness may be caused by factors such as a slightly acidic body constitution, insufficient qi and blood, or yin deficiency of the liver and kidneys. Treatment may include medication and lifestyle improvements under medical guidance.
1. Slightly Acidic Body Constitution: The body is naturally slightly acidic, but excessive acidity due to chronic stress, poor diet, or other reasons can lead to leg soreness and weakness. It is recommended that patients consume more alkaline foods in daily life, such as bananas, milk, and carrots. Additionally, medications like sodium bicarbonate tablets or hydrotalcite may be used under a doctor's supervision.
2. Insufficient Qi and Blood: Deficiency of qi and blood in the body may also cause leg soreness and weakness. It is advisable to regularly consume foods that nourish qi and blood, such as brown sugar, red dates, and donkey-hide gelatin (ejiao). Under medical guidance, patients may also take herbal medicines such as Shenling Baizhu Pills or Bu Zhong Yi Qi Pills for treatment.
3. Yin Deficiency of Liver and Kidneys: Liver yin deficiency can cause leg soreness and fatigue, along with symptoms such as dry eyes and dizziness. Kidney yin deficiency may lead to lower back soreness and weakness, as well as dark yellow urine or short, reddish urination. It is recommended to use medications such as Zhuang Yao Jian Shen Wan or Qi Ju Di Huang Wan under the guidance of a physician.
