Introduction
The management of alcohol consumption after taking cephalosporins depends on the patient's specific condition. If there are no obvious clinical symptoms, observation alone is sufficient. If symptoms such as chest tightness, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing occur, continuous oxygen therapy should be administered. For systemic reactions, corticosteroid medications may be used as directed by a physician. In cases of severe central nervous system symptoms, naloxone hydrochloride injection may be administered as prescribed.

Management of alcohol consumption after taking cephalosporins should be based on the patient's specific condition.

If the patient has a mild case without obvious clinical symptoms, observation alone is sufficient and no special treatment is required. If symptoms such as chest tightness, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing occur, the patient should lie flat to maintain airway patency and receive continuous oxygen therapy. For patients with more severe conditions and systemic reactions—such as elevated blood pressure, facial flushing, dizziness, fatigue, or blurred vision—corticosteroids may be administered as prescribed by a physician, for example, prednisone acetate tablets or dexamethasone tablets, to exert anti-allergic, anti-shock, and detoxifying effects. If central nervous system symptoms are severe, naloxone hydrochloride injection may be used under medical guidance to block and reverse central nervous system depression and promote recovery of consciousness. Taking vitamin B and vitamin C tablets as directed can help maintain normal cellular and tissue function.

It is recommended to seek prompt medical attention at a hospital, where doctors can develop an individualized treatment plan according to each patient’s specific condition.
